Biography:

I am a Full-Time Instructor for the Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies Department; I teach a bundle of composition and communication classes! My research interests range from (long) 18th-century book history, epistolary novels, and the darker sides of philanthropy, giving, and gift-exchange to composition and communication pedagogy, the rhetoric of gratitude and apology, and writing center studies.

Outside of UK, I work part-time as a freelance book editor; a Writing Center consultant for Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center; and a bartender for West 6th Brewing. In my downtime, I collect and care for a jungle of houseplants, I'm reading my way through all the Booker Prize winners (long- and shortlist nominees, as well), and I enjoy making ceramic shrimps!!!
