Introduction

Kaitlyn Connell is a second-year MA student at the University of Kentucky. She graduated summa cum laude with a BA in English/Secondary Education from Murray State University in Murray, KY in May 2021. During this time, she published "The Effects of Victorian Circulating Libraries on the Conventions of Society," which discusses the impact public lending libraries had on encouraging morality through literature under the guise of the "Angel in the House" and the "Gentleman" of the middle and upper classes. In 2019, she also had the privilege to study Shakespeare abroad in London, visiting places various Shakespearian and English landmarks.

Kaitlyn intends to return to teaching after obtaining her graduate degree.
